So I made a post back in September 2011 out of pure frustration, trying to learn programming from scratch. Evidently, trying to figure out the ins and outs of AS3. I remember reading some of the replies I got and thinking, Jesus Christ these people must be complete geniuses, how did they even break that initial starting wall, let alone feel comfortable enough to throw me suggestions and advice. Needless to say I gave up on learning to program in Flash.

Over the years I'd tried AGS, Flash, Construct 2, Unity and bounced off them all. Until I happened upon some tutorials for Gamemaker 8. I spent a few weeks watching as much as I could, hours and hours of going over the same videos. And still had no idea what I was doing, but for some reason GML just made more sense to me. It's been 7 years of learning so far, and practiced through making a few prototype games over the years. This is now where I'm at with my current game.

So yeah, just a quick post, don't ever give up on what interests you but might not come easy to you just yet!

Hopefully I'll get to release my very first Newgrounds game pretty soon.
