I've not been greatly active lately, lots of life things and work things getting in the way of creative things.

Work always gets in the way, but it never takes away from what is needed in life. Routine, money, and structure come with work. And if you saturate yourself with the things you love, they become less appealing. Enjoy the time you do have to create things and embrace it.
